If you're unable to read PDF files, you can download Acrobat Reader free from Adobe. Your first visit to our office will involve a tour of our office followed by the initial exam. During your exam diagnostic records will be taken to aid Dr. Caskey during the exam. Diagnostic records consist of photographs and necessary digital x-rays. We will have a chance to get acquainted, and determine if there is a need for orthodontic treatment. Many of your questions can be answered at this appointment, and we encourage you to ask about any of your concerns. Dr Caskey feels that it is beneficial for both parents to attend this appointment when possible, so that he can observe any characteristics in the parents' that might help him determine the best treatment plan for your child. We use digital/video imaging computers to help explain the problems and we have visual aids to help you understand what orthodontic appliances look like and how they work. If orthodontic treatment is recommended, we will discuss the estimated treatment time and the fees associated with this service. Our goal is to answer all your questions regarding your orthodontic treatment at your initial exam. Depending on the complexity of the treatment, we may schedule a separate appointment to discuss your treatment plan in more detail. Dr. Caskey wants you to be well informed on the expected results and how your active participation can help assure a successful outcome.
